What it is
Not an exam.
An ambush.
On the Edge is an annual tech competition developed by Exodust for university students, created to develop the upcoming generation of professionals and give them an experience of real-world professional problem solving.
Participants are placed in unfamiliar situations where they have to research, think, collaborate, make decisions and develop solutions under pressure.
For the 2026 edition, six university students in Lagos will progress to the final competition.

Applications are open to eligible university students attending universities in Lagos State. Six students will progress to the final competition, competing in two teams of three. Each team chooses its own name.
Winning team takes
₦500,000Other cash prizes will also be won throughout the competition.
How do you get there?
Six stages. One application.
Application
Complete the qualification challenge and submit it with your application.
Qualification
Submissions are reviewed. Two applicants progress.
Build your team
Each one recruits two more eligible students to form a team of three, including at least one female and one male student.
The final six
Two complete teams are confirmed and verified.
The competition
The main project is revealed. Both teams research, decide and build.
The finale
Both teams defend their project before the panel. One team wins.

The panel
Judged by senior professionals.
On the Edge is judged by a panel of senior professionals in the tech industry. They are introduced to the finalists on the first day of the competition, in the On the Edge house.

The challenge is revealed on October 5th, and applications open the same day. They close on October 18th. Know what to prepare before it lands.
